Dining For Sight is a social enterprise serving delicious home cooked food and dining experiences at supper clubs, events and offices across Birmingham.
We offer work experience and training for people with visual impairment and disabilities in our kitchen.
We organise professionally-led events to promote the importance of eye health
for the public across Birmingham.
Dining for Sight is currently led by Thuy Pham (CEO) and Chef Faith Barber.
Thuy is currently working as an Orthoptist (specialist in diagnosing and treating defects in eye movement and problems with how the eyes work together) for the NHS. A chance meeting with Faith has led to Thuy setting up this social enterprise.
Faith is a professional Chef who is registered blind. Losing her sight has not prevented Faith from achieving what she wants to do. Faith is keen to support those with disabilities to overcome their challenges to learn more skills in the catering industry.
Dining For Sight is supported by a network of volunteers made up of chefs, nutritionist and members of the public. We are also grateful for the support from local venues for kitchen and dining spaces hire.
